Chris did not take his Ambien tonight. After the 3 Ambien the other night, he has decided it is better to simply take a break, mainly because he has begun to build up a tolerance. So, he probably didn’t sleep tonight, which isn’t good, but there is little I can do.
As I begin this diary, I find myself coming up with ideas to make it better. The first idea I’ve had is to stop posting entries for the nights Chris doesn’t take Ambien. My logic behind this is simple: if he doesn’t take it, there isn’t anything I can say other than, “Chris did not take his Ambien tonight,” or some iteration thereof. Also, there really isn’t anything interesting occurring on the nights he doesn’t take Ambien that would be journal worthy. So, tell me, should I continue to post entries for the nights Chris does not take Ambien? If you think I should, post a comment letting me know what I could do on those nights (within the context of the entry) to spice up the entry a bit more.
Chris did not take Ambien tonight. Makes sense since he took three Ambien last night and didn’t wake up until 4:30pm today. He probably won’t be sleeping anytime soon.
So, tonight was interesting. The night started with Chris taking his Ambien and going off to play Left 4 Dead 2 with some friends. While playing Left 4 Dead 2, it became obvious that his Ambien wasn’t working. So, he left for a second and took a second. This isn’t unusual, as he builds up a tolerance. I joined the Left 4 Dead 2 game so that I could observe what was going on. Chris began to play terrible and sound drunk, two signs that his Ambien had kicked in. However, the reality was far more hilarious.
When Chris takes his Ambien, he tends to go play a video game of some sort. Hilarity almost always ensues. To give you a taste of that hilarity, here is a video I shot a while ago of Chris playing Assassin’s Creed 2 under the influence of Ambien.
Chris didn’t take Ambien tonight. We were too busy hanging out with our friend Molly. He did manage to fall asleep, however, without taking it. So, I guess that is worthy of an entry.
Tonight was one of the few nights that I got legitimately frustrated with Chris. This isn’t a common occurrence, as I have a lot of patience, which assists me in dealing with the giant toddler that Chris becomes when he takes his Ambien. While many nights can be a riot just because of the ridiculousness he displays, tonight was filled with annoyance rather than fun.
